Krav Maga Clubs Unite

Our Chief Instructor, Gheorghe Husar, ran the first Krav Maga Seminar as founder of Krav Maga United Kingdom for Clint Badlam of West Country Krav Maga.

Gheorghe taught the students defence against stick and knife attacks.  These new techniques were introduced: to Gheorghe Husar via private study and training with Itay and to Spartans Academy (Instructors and Students) at a Krav Maga Weapons Seminar. Professor Itay Gil, IDF Captain who served in Israel’s special forces and joined Israel’s elite counter-terror and hostage rescue commando unit “Yamam”,  has over 33 years of hand to hand and Krav Maga actual combat study to meet the needs of the real life situations he faced in his 14 years of active duty combat experience.

Gheorghe Husar explains, I have been involved in Krav maga since 2002 and I’m certainly open to new ideas and change for the better – you should never stop learning.  Itay Gil brings a vast knowledge from real live experiences this is very important and why we are adding his techniques to our portfolio. His techniques have been tried and tested and it was great for me to further my learning, adapt our syllabus and teach our students his variations – which I believe in 100%.

Gheorghe continues… We are an open minded association, after all I want to learn and keep on learning, so it was great for me to show the very latest in Krav Maga skills to the Bristol Seminar, While Itay offers something new and fresh to our school, it’s good to remember the foundations of all our self defence is traditional Krav Maga, we have simply adapted the experience of real life situations from one of the most experience close quarter combat instructors in the world.  Knife and bat attacks do actually come from multiple angles at different velocities; this is just one of the difficulties we have to overcome and why we have to understand the bio-mechanics of the offender to overcome the situation.  Our krav Maga is built for the 21century, its more important than ever that we continue developing the best Krav Mage the UK has to offer I would like to thank Clint and his students for taking time to listen, practice and evaluate the latest techniques, Krav Maga is evolving all the time or at least it should be, we have the knowledge as a progressive associate concludes Gheorghe.
